(sounds of) Lockdown Luís Antero

During the period of confinement caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, there were places I visited to record their soundscapes. These, especially those of Geophony, were now more awake than ever, since man-made sounds were far fewer in number but nevertheless never ceasing to be heard. Life in agriculture, in the forest or in industry, although at a slower pace, never stopped. This sound work was carried out using binaural and aural microphones and tries to mirror the acoustic dynamics of various locations and villages in the municipality of Oliveira do Hospital, next to the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, between March 16 and May 15, 2020.

[PT] Durante o período de confinamento provocado pela pandemia Covid-19, foram muitos os locais que visitei de gravador e microfones na mão para gravar as suas paisagens sonoras. Estas, sobretudo as da Geofonia, estavam agora mais despertas que nunca, uma vez que os sons produzidos pelo homem eram em muito menor número mas, mesmo assim, nunca deixando de se fazer ouvir. A vida na agricultura, na floresta ou na indústria, embora a um ritmo mais lento, nunca parou. Este trabalho sonoro foi realizado com recurso a microfones binaurais e aurais e tenta espelhar a dinâmica acústica de vários locais e aldeias do concelho de Oliveira do Hospital, junto ao Parque Natural da Serra da Estrela, entre 16 de março e 15 de maio de 2020.
